My students have been playing this game during recess after snack and sometimes even in the classroom when they have nothing to do (between activities). It took me a while to figure out what they were doing.
Yep, they were playing rock, paper, scissors along with some hand games. Did I mention that they are Kindergarten students....
I still haven't figured out how/when they determine it is time to play the rock, paper, scissors game.
That reminds me of a game I used to play when I was young, there's a song that goes with it, can't remember it though! Maybe they learned it from siblings at home?
ReplyDeleteYeah probably siblings or neighborhood friends... but I was shocked that they understood the concept of rock paper scissors.. I didn't learn it till much later!
DeleteAnd the one in purple is playing handslap game. The song Mj is referring to is one of those chants we did similar to hotdog song ( and she is not it) to determine who should start a tag game or whatever.
