Wrestling

On the last day of Jenny's visit, there was an Oceania wrestling championship.  The championship lasted the entire weekend with Greco-Romanian wrestling on Friday, freestyle on Saturday and beach on Sunday.  I had never seen beach wrestling and was curious to see it but wast able to see it.  I saw Friday and Saturday events.

It was really interesting to see all the different countries in Oceania compete against each other.  Some matches were quick and over in a second or two while others lasted about 5 minutes.

The winners of these games will represent Oceania in the Olympics in Rio.

Children wrestling with each other during break.  I hope seeing them inspired them to become involved.  Something is better than nothing.

I met the coach of Pohnpei/Micronesia.  He is a current world teach volunteer in Pohnpei.  Cool!
